Scandian Wood Floors offers the original purchaser a limited lifetime warranty for its entire line of Pre-finished Solid Exotic Fashion Flooring. We warrant the product to be free from milling, grading, and coating defects in excess of the accepted 5% industry standard for delivered product.
Scandian Wood Floors also warrants the Solid Exotic Fashion Flooring line to be of the same grade and quality as samples and invoice provided to purchaser. (See installer’s responsibilities) As wood is a natural substance, color may vary from samples.
Scandian Wood Floors provides a 25-year warrantee covering the finish used on its Solid Pre-finished Exotic Fashion Flooring. The original purchaser is warranted against any peeling, blistering, and excessive wear of the finish during normal residential use. The flooring is also warranted not to stain from common household products provided that our general care and guidelines are followed.
Scandian Wood Floors warranty does not cover and is not limited to the following:
1)Indentations, scratches, or damage caused by negligence, exposure to extreme heat, dryness or water saturations, accidents, abuse, misuse, stains as a result of chemical or industrial products, indentations from pet nails, installation, improper handling, fire, shoes, and damages caused by improper moisture control.
2)Claims made on pieces of flooring installed with visible defects or pieces installed with excessive color/grain variations. Do not install materials with visible defects, as they will not be covered by warranty. Please see installer’s responsibilities.
3)Excessive swelling, cupping and gapping caused by moisture fluctuations outside the recommended range of 35%-55%.
4)Excessive swelling, cupping and gapping caused by moisture from sources below or above the floor.
5)Damage caused by improper transportation, storage, and installation after products have left Scandian Wood Floors control.
6)Any problems associated with failure to follow the manufacturer’s specific written installation and maintenance instructions.
7)Grain variation and color. Wood is a natural product and variations in its grain pattern and color are normal and will not to be considered defects.
8)Natural changes in color from exposure to Natural and UV light. Exotic wood species will darken in color with exposure to these types of light.
9)The finish wear surface must be readily visible and cover at least 10% of the total floor area to be considered a claim.
10)Gloss reduction is not considered surface wear.
11)Natural expansion and contraction of the floor.
12)Any claim related to the product having been glued to concrete.
